In the relaxed atmosphere of our small shop, in the heart of Chelsea, customers can feel at leisure to examine our choice of collector’s “objets” and decorative works of art that do so much to express taste and personality. Under our wing, quite substantial collections have been built up, much to the satisfaction of the present owners.

From corkscrews to the exquisite souvenirs of The Palais Royale, we hope to please our increasingly wide and international clientele.

Our major speciality is “Wemyss Ware” and the definitive book “Wemyss Ware – A decorative Scottish Pottery”, dedicated to The late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was published by The Scottish Academic Press in 1986 - now out of print.

A new book is planned for next year to be written by Victoria de Rin, David Macmillan and Robert Rankine, to be published by The Antique Collectors’ Club.

For those unfamiliar with Wemyss Ware, the pottery took its name from Wemyss Castle in the late 19 th century and is famous for its Royal commemorative ware and glorious paintings of fruit, flowers and farmyard subjects – cocks, hens, glass eyed cats, and of course the characterful pigs which are painted with roses, thistles, clover or sponged a dramatic black and white! A multitude of colours and sizes exist. These pigs were always “special” and were supplied by Thomas Goode of Mayfair to the nurseries of fashionable London. They have since been seen to be making their way steeply up market.

Victoria de Rin, Rosie Davenport and colleagues are responsible for the organisation at Rogers de Rin and in these days of impersonal shopping, it is indeed refreshing for customers to be remembered by name and to be treated with an intelligent regard for their interests.

Be it business or pleasure or both, a hint of investment justifies the enjoyment. We will happy to answer any enquiries and provide full descriptions and prices of antiques on request.
